Not all the colonies that have been established in America counted with the same resources to define their styles and forms, nor all counted with the same elements to take textures and materials with which it implemented decoratively spaces in its interiors.
That is why the colonial style American had its own particularities and characteristics which became a model almost unique, that even some centuries later, many families continue to use or trying to reinvent these old styles that lead to emulate environments during times of the colonies.
The scarcity of means that was taken during these colonies forced the artisans of the time to recycle some objects and to reuse in new decorative elements that little by little were defining as very own.
